RATES & SERVICES
Uniquely U. bills by the hour…
- all services: $250.00/for the first hour, by the half-hour thereafter.*
*special family rates
*fees may be subject to 50% surcharge when essay/app help is requested less than 1 week from stated college deadline.
- The process of completing a 1-page core essay adaptable for use on all undergraduate school applications generally takes between 5-7 hours, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. When the core essay is finished, or at Hour 8—whichever comes first—we will formally confer about its status and determine what you would like your next step to be.
- Completion of the Basic Common Application including the Activity Grid and the Short Answer (approx. 2-3 hours)
- Help with the Common Application supplement essays based on the Uniquely U. “Perfect Match” template (approx. 2 hours)
- Help with all other essays, long and short, including the “Academic Interest” essay, “Special Circumstances” essay, “Optional” essays, Scholarship and Honors Program essays (time varies according to complexity of essay)
- Creation and completion of Uniquely U.’s stand-alone Activity Sheet (3-5 hours)
- Final readovers
- Formatting and submission of the finished application
- Interview and college visit prep
- Teacher recommendation workups
- Waitlist letters and strategies
- Transfer Essays and Applications
- Internship & Study-Abroad Applications
- SAT/ACT Writing Test strategies
- Help with essays/applications for private/prep/boarding school, graduate school, medical school, law school and business school.
- Special Expertise with college bound ADD/LD students.

- Online instant-messaging sessions (you will be billed only for time spent working on essay; time-stamped transcripts available on request)
- Telephone sessions (you will be billed only for time spent working on essay; phone-log available on request)
- Offline edits* (time tracked on calendar and included with invoice)
- Any specifically requested college-website research related to the supplement essays
- Phone conferences with parents: each call: 1st ½-hour is free, billed by ½-hour thereafter
- Final readovers: free, if no changes are required, otherwise, billable by ½-hour
- Parent tariff: If the obstacle to the essay’s successfully coming to closure proves to be the result of premature parental intrusion, you will be billed an additional hour
- REFERRED METHOD: Uniquely U. will keep your credit card on file and collect payment after each face-to-face session.
